The first step is yours to take
It is a long-standing tradition of Freemasonry that we do not recruit. A man becomes a Mason because he seeks it himself. If the values of our fraternity — integrity, charity, brotherhood, and self-improvement — speak to you, then we warmly welcome your inquiry and are glad to answer any questions you may have.

Ask
A man must seek Freemasonry of his own free will. Reach out to us with your interest — we are glad to answer your questions.
Get to know us
Visit the lodge, meet the brethren, and share a meal. Freemasonry is built on friendship, and this is where it begins.
Petition
When you are ready, you will submit a petition for membership, signed by members who can vouch for your character.
The degrees
You will progress through the three degrees of Masonry — Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason — at your own pace.

Who can become a Mason?
The requirements for membership are few, but they are essential to the character of our fraternity.

Is Freemasonry a religion?
No. Freemasonry is not a religion, nor a substitute for one. It requires only that a member believe in a Supreme Being; men of all faiths are welcome.
Is it a secret society?
Not at all. Our lodge, meeting times, and membership are public. Like many organizations, we hold certain traditions and modes of recognition privately, but Freemasonry itself is open about who we are and what we do.
How much time does it require?
As much or as little as you wish. Members are always welcome at stated and called meetings, but participation is a personal choice.
What does it cost?
There are modest fees for the degrees and annual dues that support the lodge. We are glad to discuss the details with anyone considering membership.
